A Kiwi, Simon is friendly, patient, and understanding. Simon has a Diploma in Sporting Perfomance and was a Personal Trainer at the Virgin Active Health Club, Notting Hill, London, England. Where he trained various clients to meet, and achieve their specific fitness, and health goals. He respects the commitment required to attain these goals, and the rewards that come with attaining them. He will tailor each session and create programmes to meet client’s specific needs, goals and fitness levels.
Simon has ten years of experience playing professional and semi-professional rugby in New Zealand and England. Testing himself, by playing with and against current and former New Zealand All Blacks, Australian Wallabies, English, Pacific Island, Argentinean and Welsh Internationals. He has been trained by New Zealand All Black trainers, Super 14 rugby trainers, English Championship rugby trainers, and the lead English Institute of Sport strength and conditioning coach. Simon has learnt from some of the best in the rugby industry, and is now playing rugby for the Singapore Cricket Club.
He has written programmes for and trained post natal women, rehabilitated clients recovering from injuries, trained clients for specific sporting events, such as joining the British Army reservist elite Paratroop Regiment, half Marathons, Mixed Martial Arts, trained clients in Olympic lifts, and explosive power.
Simon has given nutritional advice, and planned weekly diets. Helped clients lose weight, put on muscle and generally become fitter and healthier. He has training expertise in aerobic, anaerobic, strength, functional sports conditioning, core, strongman, explosive power and Olympic lifting. Plyometric, agility, kettle bell, toning, muscle hypertrophy, weight loss, injury rehabilitation, nutrition and sports nutrition, swissball, TRX suspension training, and power plate classes.
Simon has also completed the British Royal Marines 30mile Dartmoor Charra Challenge 2009. Taken rugby fit sessions in parks, and coached senior rugby, school and age grade rugby teams.
